Beginner

In the beginner course, students will build a solid foundation in Argentine tango.  We will focus on essential elements of connection and communication to your partner including the dance frame.  You will learn the famous tango walk, and begin to understand the rich music used for tango.  With a solid foundation, you will begin to build a vocabulary of steps that will bloom and grow.

Intermediate

At the intermediate level we will continue to work on the intricacies of the tango embrace, fine tune walks, expand your dance vocabulary, and deepen your musicality.

At this level you will start to explore what tango is to you, and we will guide you as you begin to find your individual style.

The Studio Classroom

In our classroom students will learn how to lead and follow a variety of dance movements so they can comfortably dance at any social tango dance around the world.  Students are encouraged to enjoy themselves and ask questions.  We often learn best when we allow ourselves to take a risk and make mistakes.

You may attend the course with or without a partner.  We highly suggest rotating partners during the class.  By dancing with others, you better understand the principles of leading and following, and will find it more enjoyable and easier to dance with your own partner.
